Kolkata, Nov. 24 -- The city traffic in Central Kolkata and major parts of the congested northern region was disrupted badly on Monday following a rally by the fresh teachers candidates for class IX and X demanding scrapping of the extra 10 marks for experienced candidates, publication of the OMR sheet and creation of 1 lakh vacancy for teachers in state-aided schools.
The fresh candidates, who sat for examinations on September 7 and 14 last, took out a massive rally from Sealdah, suddenly broke through the police barricades at Moula Ali Crossing and marched through the SN Banerjee Road to Esplanade and blocked the busy road, the heart of the city.
