Hyderabad, March 17 -- Citizen groups have demanded immediate rejuvenation of the Musi River, alleging that no meaningful development has taken place over the past 12 years while sewage pollution has worsened significantly.
Addressing a press conference at the Hyderabad Citizen Forum (HCF) office on Tuesday, representatives of HCF and the Urban Development Forum (UDF) said the focus should be on cleaning and restoring the river rather than evicting residents in the name of development.
UDF Convener M Srinivas, HCF President M Srinivas Rao, General Secretary Veerayya, and Vice President P. Srinivasa Rao were present.
