New Delhi/ Mumbai, Sept. 1 -- The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was formally inducted on Tuesday for securing the Indian Space Research Organisation's Propellant Complex at Rasayani in Raigad, Maharashtra.
The facility is under the Department of Space and a unit of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR) at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
The Propellant Complex, Rasayani becomes the 32nd vital installation in Maharashtra under CISF security cover, further expanding the force's role in safeguarding strategically important national assets in the state.
The induction ceremony was attended by senior officials of ISRO and CISF and was presided over by Ajay Kumar Khandelwal, DIG, CISF.
