Mumbai, June 26 -- Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Dr. Neelam Gorhe on Friday welcomed the Maharashtra government's decision to hand over the investigation into the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad toxic liquor tragedy to the CID, calling it a crucial step towards ensuring an impartial probe.
She also demanded that the entire illegal liquor syndicate be dismantled by invoking the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against the accused.
