Kolkata, June 8 -- A team of CID officers on Monday visited Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee's residence in South Kolkata's Kalighat to serve notice asking him to depose before the state agency on Tuesday in connection with the MLAs' signature forgery case.
This is the third time that the state Criminal Investigation Department has served a notice summoning Banerjee, who was away in Delhi during the day to attend the INDIA block meeting .
Earlier, the CID had issued two summons to Banerjee asking him to appear before its officers at the agency headquarters Bhawani Bhavan for recording his statements on the alleged forgery of signatures of MLAs, that has finally led to a virtual split in the Trinamool legisla...
