Jammu, Feb. 9 -- The Counter-Intelligence wing of CID Jammu has arrested a person who was wanted in a Fake Indian currency note case and had been absconding for ten years.

An official spokesman said here on Monday that the CID arrested Hilal Ahmed Bhat of Poshpora, Kupwara, and his father, Mohd Assad Ullah Bhat. They were wanted in a Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) case, registered by Police Station CID (CI), Jammu, and had been absconding for 10 years.

Based on specific, actionable intelligence, the Fugitive Tracking Team of CID (CI) Jammu mounted a swift and well-coordinated operation, leading to his arrest in Jammu.

Following his arrest, the accused was produced before the Court and has been remanded to judicial custody.
