Kochi, Aug. 6 -- With heavy rainfall continuing across Kerala, Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has intensified its flood mitigation initiative, Operation Pravah, by strengthening real-time monitoring and drainage management to prevent waterlogging and ensure uninterrupted airport operations.

As part of the comprehensive flood prevention programme, CIAL has stepped up surveillance of rainwater flow both inside the airport's operational area and in the surrounding regions.

Extensive desilting and cleaning of major canals and drainage channels connected to the airport are being carried out to improve the natural flow of rainwater and minimise flooding.
