Bengaluru, May 12 -- The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday granted conditional permission to two senior officials of DNA Entertainment Networks, who are accused in the Bengaluru Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede case, to travel to Rio de Janeiro in June for a scheduled business meeting.
The order was passed by the Karnataka High Court while hearing their plea seeking relaxation of travel restrictions imposed as part of the ongoing criminal proceedings arising from the stadium stampede incident.
The accused officials had approached the court arguing that their presence was required for an overseas business engagement and sought permission to travel abroad for a limited period.
