Nagpur, July 14 -- : Childhood non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are emerging as a growing health challenge across western and central India, with children in rural and tribal regions facing difficulties due to limited access to diagnosis and specialised healthcare, while urban areas are witnessing a rise in lifestyle-related disorders, health experts said.

Experts noted that conditions such as childhood obesity, diabetes and mental health disorders are increasingly being reported among urban children due to sedentary lifestyles, excessive screen exposure and changing dietary habits.
