Raipur, July 17 -- Chhattisgarh government has begun preparations for Independence Day 2026, issuing comprehensive guidelines for celebrations across the State with a special focus on the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. To mark the historic milestone, the collective rendition of the national song has been made mandatory at all official Independence Day functions.

The main state-level celebration will be held at the Police Parade Ground in Raipur at 9 am, where Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will hoist the National Flag, take the salute at the ceremonial parade and address the people of the state.
