Lucknow, Oct. 27 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today observed that Chhath Puja, the grand festival of folk faith, is not only a means of spiritual upliftment but also a symbol of social unity, ancient Indian heritage, and communion with nature.
Chief Minister attended the grand event held at the Chhath Ghat in the Laxman Mela Ground on the banks of the Gomti River here this evening.
Yogi enjoyed Chhath songs and released the Bhojpuri Sandesh souvenir. His address in Bhojpuri inspired the devotees.
He stated that no drainage or sewer water from Lucknow would drain into the Gomti River, and it would flow clean and uninterrupted from Pilibhit to Ghazipur.
