Patna, Oct. 28 -- Millions of devotees offered "Araghya" to the rising Sun on the bank of Ganga river and other rivers in Bihar and also at rooftops of their homes, marking the end of four day Chhath festival, which had begun on October 25.

Besides rivers and water bodies, artificial ponds were created in localities of urban areas to facilitate devotees in offering "Araghya".

Local administration of Patna and other districts made elaborate arrangements to ensure hassle free celebrations of Chhath festival. Tight security arrangements were also made to prevent anti-social elements from creating troubles during the festival.
