Chennai, Nov. 17 -- Officials of the Customs Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) have seized2,910 kg of ganja/marijuana worth Rs 1.01 crore from a woman passenger who had arrivedfrom Bangkok and arrested her at the Anna International airport here.
A PIB release here today said acting on specific Intelligence, the AIU officers interceptedthe Indian female passenger, who had arrived from Bangkok via Colombo by a Sri LankanAirlines flight.
It said on examination of her checked-in baggage led to the recovery of 2.910 kg of Ganja/Marijuana concealed in an air-tight transparent package kept inside the outdoor unit of AirConditioner and three of air-tight black colour taped package kept inside the indoor unit ofthe Air Conditioner.
