Kannur, Aug. 26 -- Museum and Archaeology Minister Ramachandran Kadannappally will inaugurate the first phase of the Chembanthotti Bishop Vallopalli Memorial Museum, at Chembanthotti near Sreekandapuram, on August 30.
The museum has been set up to commemorate the lives of people who migrated from Travancore to different parts of Malabar in search of a better life.
It also aims to preserve the history of the Christian settlers who moved from Central Travancore to the hilly regions of Malabar.
Built on a one- acre plot of land leased for 99 years by the Archdiocese of Thalassery, the museum follows the model of the Lalit Kala Academy's Kakkannanpara Kalagramam.
