Chawngte, April 15 -- A joint delegation of civil society organisations from Chawngte called on the Mizoram government to fast-track critical infrastructure and service upgrades, submitting a series of memoranda to senior ministers highlighting pressing gaps in roads, public buildings and healthcare.

Led by Chairman Joshep Lalchhingpuia, the delegation placed a strong case for immediate intervention, stating that long-pending deficiencies are affecting daily life, governance and essential services in the region.

In their interaction with the Rural Development Minister, the group flagged the deteriorating condition of office buildings and staff quarters, many of which, they said, are no longer fit for use.
