Nashik, Aug. 15 -- Massive development projects worth thousands of crores are underway in Nashik ahead of the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela. As part of this, the Public Works Department (North Zone) has awarded the contract for the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar road to 'Harsh Construction'.
However, citizens allege that the contractor is neglecting the cleanliness and maintenance of the road after laying the cement surface.
With the Shravan month and consecutive holidays, there is a large rush of devotees heading to Trimbakeshwar. But due to heavy accumulation of mud on the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar road, commuters are forced to travel in fear for their lives.
