Chandigarh, May 19 -- Chandigarh Police on Tuesday arrested three alleged operatives linked to the Donny Bal and Mohabbat Randhawa gang following an encounter near Sector-43 bus stand in the city, officials said.
According to the police, the operation was conducted by the Chandigarh Police Operation Cell after receiving specific intelligence inputs regarding the accused's movements. During the encounter, there was cross-firing between the police team and the suspects, in which one police officer sustained a bullet injury.
Addressing the media, SP (Operations) Geetanjali Khandelwal said the arrested accused have been identified as Prabhjot, Jobanpreet, and Ajay, who were allegedly working for the Donny Bal and Mohabbat Randhawa gang.
