Ranchi, April 18 -- The Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries on Saturday raised concerns over shortage of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders and higher VAT on piped natural gas (PNG) in the state.

The issues were discussed at a meeting of the petroleum and explosives sub-committee held at the chamber premises.

Members said supply constraints of LPG cylinders have intensified ahead of the ongoing wedding season, affecting households as well as businesses such as hotels and banquet halls.

They urged the administration to ensure adequate availability of cylinders to avoid disruption in services.
