Panchkula, July 20 -- The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has extended the validity of empanelment of all existing Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) empanelled Health Care Organisations (HCOs) till August 15, 2026, ensuring uninterrupted medical services for lakhs of CGHS beneficiaries while the empanelment process under the Hospital Empanelment Module (HEM) 2.0 is completed.
Ministry said the decision has been taken with the approval of the competent authority as a continuation of its earlier memorandum dated July 1, 2026, which had extended the deadline for execution of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) by existing empanelled healthcare organisations.
