Patna, June 22 -- Bihar is currently operating Centres of Excellence (CoEs) in 44 of its 46 polytechnic institutes, with more than 26,700 students having successfully completed training programmes under the initiative, officials said on Saturday.
Development Commissioner Mihir Kumar Singh said here on Monday that instructions have been given for introducing specialised courses and infrastructure upgrades in engineering colleges.
The authorities have also been directed to launch courses related to environmental clearance, establish quality control laboratories for certification of civil works and creating systems for issuing environmental clearance certificates, he added.
