Aizawl, May 31 -- With smart metre installation gathering pace and plans for major hydropower projects back on the table, the Centre urged Mizoram to accelerate reforms in its power sector while strengthening urban sanitation and waste management systems.
The directives came on Saturday during a state-level review meeting on Power and Housing & Urban Affairs chaired by union Minister Manohar Lal at the MINECO Conference Hall. The meeting was attended by Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation Minister K. Sapdanga, Power & Electricity Minister F. Rodingliana and senior officials from the concerned departments.
