Bhubaneswar, June 1 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Monday proposed a high-level meeting involving all concerned Central ministries and the Odisha Government to address pending issues in the mining sector, stressing that challenges related to mining require coordinated action across departments such as railways, ports, forests and environment.

The proposal came during a meeting with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhavan, where the two leaders discussed measures to strengthen the state's mining sector and enhance Odisha's contribution to the national economy.
