Panchkula, June 18 -- The Central Government has notified the Surrogacy (Regulation) Amendment Rules, 2026, introducing a structured framework for the registration fee mechanism and renewal of registration certificates for surrogacy clinics across the country.

The amendments, notified by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's Department of Health Research, came into force on June 17, the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. The new provisions amend the Surrogacy (Regulation) Rules, 2022.
