Panchkula, July 16 -- The Central Government has notified an amendment to the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Rules, 2014, clarifying the appellate authorities before whom appeals can be filed against orders passed under the organ transplant law.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues (Second Amendment) Rules, 2026, which came into force with their publication in the Official Gazette on July 15, 2026. The amendment has been notified under Section 24 of the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act, 1994.
