Panchkula, July 22 -- The Central Government has integrated the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) online system with the Bhavishya portal, enabling retiring Central Government employees to obtain their CGHS Pensioner Cards through a seamless, paperless and technology-driven process. The move is expected to reduce delays and ensure uninterrupted access to CGHS healthcare benefits after retirement.
According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the integration has been developed jointly with the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) as part of the government's effort to improve digital service delivery and enhance the ease of living for retirees and pensioners.
