Chennai, Aug. 6 -- Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister R.Vinoth on Thursday said the union government has given its approval to provide aprice deficiency payment for the farmers for 'Banglora' variety under the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS).
Presenting the TVK government's maiden Agriculture budget in the State Assembly, he pointed out that mango farmers suffered significant losses this year, just as they did last year, due to the lack of remunerative price for mangoes, specifically the 'Banglora' variety.
