Shimla, March 24 -- The pace of drinking water projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Sarkaghat assembly constituency has been affected as the Centre has not released funds, the Himachal Pradesh government informed the House on Tuesday.
Replying to a query raised by Sarkaghat MLA Daleep Thakur during the question hour, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that no fresh funds had been received under the union Government flagship Jal Jeevan Mission, resulting in delays in completion of ongoing schemes.
Agnihotri stated that the state government has not been able to disburse the required amounts to executing agencies due to fund constraints.
