Panchkula, June 25 -- The Centre has amended the Drugs Rules, 1945, expanding the scope of Schedule H2 by bringing four critical categories of medicines-including vaccines, antimicrobials, narcotic and psychotropic drugs, and anti-cancer medicines-under a revised regulatory framework.

A spokesman of the Health Department said that Schedule H2 is a special regulatory schedule under the Drugs Rules that requires stricter documentation and record-keeping for specified medicines throughout the supply chain.
