New Delhi, Feb. 13 -- The Centre has moved to scale up an indigenous diagnostic device for kidney disease and maternal care, signing a funding agreement with Odisha-based Prantae Solutions Pvt Ltd for the manufacture of Proflo-U.

The agreement between the Technology Development Board (TDB) under the Department of Science and Technology and the medical technologies company is aimed at addressing the gaps in early disease detection at the primary healthcare level.

The device patented by the Med-tech company is a point-of-care device, which is likely to enable early detection of kidney disorders and pregnancy-related complications by monitoring the biomarkers such as urine albumin, creatinine, and Albumin-to-Creatinine Ratio, particularly in...
