New Delhi/Hyderabad, July 27 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Monday alleged that both the BRS and Congress governments had failed to safeguard the interests of Singareni Collieries, leading to outstanding dues of around Rs 54,000 crore.
He said the Centre had consistently supported the PSU by transparently allocating coal blocks and resolving legal hurdles to strengthen its future.
Addressing a press conference at New Delhi, the union Minister urged the Telangana government to ensure that the PKOC (Prakasam Khani Open Cast) Dip Side Extension coal block is allotted to Singareni instead of Telangana Genco.
