New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- The Centre has decided that the salary and wages of all Central government employees for September 2026 may be drawn and disbursed on September 25, in view of a proposed three-day nationwide bank strike from September 28 to 30 and the likelihood of disruption in banking transactions during the period.
The decision covers Central government offices, including Defence, Posts and Telecommunications, according to an office memorandum issued by the Ministry of Finance's Department of Expenditure on September 23.
