Bengaluru, Sept. 7 -- Central Zone today advanced to the Duleep Trophy final after the second semifinal against West Zone ended in a draw at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground B, thanks to a commanding first-innings lead.

Central Zone had earlier posted a massive 600 in their first innings, with Shubham Sharma top-scoring with 96 and Upendra Yadav contributing 87.

Saransh Jain played a key all-round role, scoring 51 and taking five crucial wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja claimed four wickets for 130 runs to keep West Zone under pressure.

In reply, West Zone had posted 438, highlighted by Ruturaj Gaikwad's brilliant 184 and Tanush Kotian's 76, but they were unable to match Central Zone's dominance.
