Hyderabad, Aug. 27 -- The Central Water Commission (CWC) has convened a crucial meeting of Telangana and Maharashtra in the national capital on September 1 to discuss technical and inter-state issues related to the proposed Tummidihatti Barrage on the Pranahita river.
The meeting follows Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's efforts to resolve the issue over the proposed barrage with the Centre and Maharashtra, an official release said here on Thursday. The Telangana government is seeking an agreement to construct the barrage at a height of 152 metres, instead of the 148 metres agreed upon earlier by Maharashtra.
