New Delhi, Oct. 15 -- Amid the 'Tiranga march' call given by the CJP, the Central Park in Connaught Place will remain closed to the public on Friday and Saturday apparently due to administrative reasons, while the NDMC has also urged police to ensure appropriate security for the significant public park to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering.
Delhi Police on Thursday said that given the current security and law-and-order situation, a prohibitory order under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) is already in effect in the Connaught Place and its surrounding areas, while the Central Park shall also remain closed Friday and Saturday "due to administrative reasons", as informed by the NDMC.
