Washington, May 6 -- The United States Central Command, CENTCOM, announced that it had directed a "large contingent" of US warships, fighter jets, and personnel in Iranian waters to further strengthen, and enforce its blockade of the Islamic Republic's ports, and deny transit to all its affiliated vessels.
In a post on X, CENTCOM wrote: "Aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) is among the large contingent of U.S. warships, aircraft, and personnel fully enforcing the U.S. naval blockade against Iran.
