Washington, March 23 -- The commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM) has said Iran is increasingly targeting civilian sites across the Middle East out of "desperation", claiming that Tehran's military capabilities were weakening continuously, as the Israel-US war on the Islami Republic entered its third week.

ADM Brad Cooper told Iran International that Tehran's attack patterns had shifted significantly in both scale and focus. "They're operating in a sign of desperation. In the last couple of weeks, they've attacked civilian targets very deliberately, more than 300 times," he said.

He noted a sharp decline in the volume of Iranian strikes compared with the early days of the war.
