Chennai, Aug. 27 -- Lauding the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry electorate for the record high turn out in the recent Assembly elections, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on Thursday said it reflected strong democratic participation.
Talking to reporters on his arrival at the Chennai airport to attend BLOs regional conference here, he said "On behalf of the Election Commission of India, I convey my heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to all voters of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for participating in large numbers and discharging their democratic duty".
