Panchkula, Aug. 6 -- The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has notified the Central Electricity Authority (Cyber Security in Power Sector) Regulations, 2026, laying down a comprehensive cyber security framework for entities operating in the country's power sector.

The regulations will come into force from April 1, 2027, while specified provisions relating to Regulations 5(9), 5(24), 5(33), 5(39), 6(2) and 6(7) will come into effect on dates to be notified separately by the Authority with the prior approval of the Central Government.
