Ranchi, May 14 -- Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has been conferred with the prestigious "Greentech CSR India Platinum Award" for its Integrated Community Development Project being implemented in the Hazaribagh coal mining region.
The award recognises CCL's contribution towards rural development, women empowerment, livelihood generation and sustainable development in villages surrounding its mining areas.
According to a company release issued on Thursday, the project has positively impacted around 5,000 families across nine villages in the Hazaribagh mining belt.
The award was presented at a ceremony held in New Delhi and received on behalf of the company by a team led by General Manager (CSR) Siddharth Shankar Lal.
