New Delhi, Feb. 14 -- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the rehabilitation and upgradation of the Ghoti-Trimbak (Mokhada)-Jawhar-Manor-Palghar section of National Highway-160A in Maharashtra at a total capital cost of Rs 3,320.38 crore.
The 154.635-km project will be executed in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Saturday while briefing reporters on decisions taken at Friday's Cabinet meeting.
"This project will provide an alternate high-capacity route for industrial traffic, reduce congestion in Nashik city, and significantly enhance connectivity to tribal and coastal regions of Maharashtra," Vaishnaw said.
