New Delhi, Sept. 26 -- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked all its affiliated schools to mobilise students, teachers and communities for a nationwide cleanliness campaign, with a one-hour mass 'Shramdaan' on October 1 as one of the key activities under Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026.
In a circular dated September 25, CBSE said the campaign will continue till October 2, culminating in Swachh Bharat Diwas. This year's theme is "Swachhata Mein Sahbhag; Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat", with the campaign seeking greater public participation, the involvement of students and youth, and awareness of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026.
