New Delhi, Aug. 13 -- In a coordinated effort to ensure adherence to educational norms, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted surprise inspections in 10 schools across six states including Assam, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha and the Union Territory of Delhi today.

In a statement CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta said ten separate teams were deployed, each comprising a CBSE official and the principal of a Board-affiliated school.
