New Delhi, Oct. 25 -- In a significant step towards simplifying the country's trade processes, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) today announced the consolidation of 31 separate customs duty notifications into a single comprehensive document.
Effective from November 1, 2025, this initiative aims to ease customs clearance and enhance the overall ease of doing business in the country.
"Essentially CBIC has consolidated 31 exemption/concessional duty customs notifications into one notification for ease of trade," the finance ministry spokesperson said in a brief press note.
