Sahibganj, Jan. 7 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) intensified its probe into alleged illegal mining activities in Sahibganj on Wednesday, with its investigation now extending up to the Nimbu Pahad area.
A team of CBI officials remained active since early morning, visiting various locations and inspecting sites linked to the case, including narrow lanes and remote areas.
As part of the ongoing investigation, the CBI had earlier summoned District Mining Officer Krishna Kumar Kisku and conducted a detailed examination of documents and information related to mining leases. Officials are scrutinising all aspects connected with the alleged irregularities to ascertain the extent of illegal mining operations.
