Kolkata, Sept. 7 -- A four-member CBI team today visited Sarberia village in Sandeshkhali to question and record the statements of the neighbourhood people of arrested Trinamool Congress leader Sheikh Shahjahan in relation to his supporters' alleged attack on the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials and CRPF personnel on January, 5, 2024.
The ED officials, who went to conduct a raid on the morning of January 5, were allegedly attacked and manhandled after they went to Sk Shahjahan's house in connection with his involvement in the irregularities in ration distribution, for which state Food Minister Jyotipriya Mallick was arrested.
The Central Bureau of Investigation officials also questioned Sheikh Shahjahan's daughter in the alleged ED ...
