New Delhi, Feb. 11 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday said it has arrested an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Delhi Police posted at PS C.R. Park for allegedly demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs 10 lakh from a man on the promise of settling a property dispute and not taking action against him.
The CBI registered a case on Tuesday against the accused ASI, Sunder Pal.
According to the agency, the accused allegedly demanded Rs 25 lakh from the complainant to settle a property dispute and assured him that no legal action would be taken.
