New Delhi, April 28 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday said it has filed a chargesheet against five accused, including a company, in connection with a 'digital arrest' case.
The CBI has chargesheeted Saleeshkumar CS, Blessin Jacob Abraham, Mohammed Junaid Hussain, Mohammad Mushtaque, and JCSS Capital International Pvt Ltd.Three of the accused are currently in judicial custody.
The case was registered by the CBI on November 24, 2025, on the directions of the Kerala High Court.
A senior citizen was defrauded of over Rs 1.8 crore by cybercriminals who intimidated her with fake notices, impersonating law enforcement agencies and judicial authorities. The accused were in contact with the victim through video calls.
