New Delhi, April 3 -- A CBI court at Rouse Avenue Court has sentenced an Assistant Registrar, an Inspector, and two others to varying terms of rigorous imprisonment in a Cooperative Group Housing Society case.
The court awarded sentences to Lila Krishna Seth (L.K. Seth), then Assistant Registrar, and Zafar Iqbal, then Inspector Grade-III in the office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
Seth has been sentenced to one year of rigorous imprisonment, while Iqbal has been sentenced to one year and six months of rigorous imprisonment. Both have also been fined Rs. 20,000 each.
Additionally, Ram Narayan Aggarwal and Om Prakash Aggarwal, both private individuals and office bearers of the society, have been sentenced to two years of rigor...
