New Delhi, May 31 -- A Special CBI Court in Tripura has sentenced three individuals to six years' rigorous imprisonment in connection with a chit fund scam case.
The court convicted a private company, Pragati Sheel Infra Projects & Services Limited, along with its CMD Arindam Das, Director Paritosh Das, and Administrative Director Dipshikha Chakraborty.
The accused Arindam Das, Paritosh Das, and Dipshikha Chakraborty have each been sentenced to six years' rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 3 lakh. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 7 lakh on the company, Pragati Sheel Infra Projects & Services Limited.
