Srinagar, July 7 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an assistant engineer (civil) of the Border Roads Organisation posted in Ladakh and two labour supply agents from Kargil for their alleged involvement in the misappropriation of BRO funds, officials said on Tuesday.
The Assistant Engineer arrested was Officer In-charge of Khatse Batalic Sector under 81 RCC, BRO.
The CBI said the Assistant Engineer in conspiracy with the two manpower supply agents has misappropriated the funds of BRO in the name of non-existent labours and the amounts have been deposited into his account by the agents.
